BAGHDAD, Sept. 15 (AKnews) - The Iraqi schools football team won the title of the Arab competitions, after defeating Algeria 2-1, said the reporter accompanying the Iraqi team.
The schools championships of the Arab countries ran in Kuwait.
Samir Khalil said the first half of the final match between Iraq and Algeria in Nasr Stadium on Friday ended in no goals.
Iraq was able during the second half to score one goal at 50th minute by Hossam Malek. The Algerian team also scored a goal at the end of the match, taking the match to draw.
Iraq scored the second goal into the game in the 7th minute of the additional time through Rida Naser, according to Khalil.
