Iraq to play Japan on Tuesday

BAGHDAD, Sept.8 (AKnews) - The Iraqi Central Football Association (IFA) said the Iraqi football team will leave the South Korean capital Seoul for Japan in preparation for the team’s match against Japan.
 
Naem Saddam, spokesman for the IFA, said: "The Iraqi national team finished its training camp in South Korea in preparation for its match against its Japanese counterpart within the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup in Brazil. They will arrive this afternoon to Tokyo to play against Japanese counterpart on Tuesday.

"The professionals in the Qatari league arrived in Japan on their way from Qatar and they are Younis Mahmoud, Ali Hussein Rahema, Karrar Jassim, Nashat Akram. The team will resume its training tomorrow after Zico decided to set aside today for the players to have a rest.
 
"The head of the IFA Naheh Hammoud and his first deputy Abdul Khaliq Massoud will travel on Saturday to Japan to meet the Iraqi delegation. The next match is important for the Iraqi team to strengthen its position in the group and thus qualify to the World Cup."
 
The Iraqi national team includes Noor Sabri, Mohammed Kassid, Jalal Hassan Ali Bahgat, Ahmed Ibrahim, Samal Saeed, Khaldoun Ibrahim, Qusay Munir, Abbas Rahima, Muthana Khalid, Alaa Abdul-Zahra, Hamadi Ahmed, Amjad Radhi, Hossam Ibrahim, Ali Abdul-Jabbar, Walid Salem, Hussam Kadhim, Osama Rashid and Ahmed Yassin.
