ERBIL, Aug.10 (AKnews)- Brazilian coach, Arthur Antunes Coimbra (known as Zico), will continue instructing the Iraqi team until 2014, said deputy for chairman of the Iraqi Football Federation (IFF).
Abdul-Khaleq Massoud's remark came in response to the media reports which alleged the coach has terminated his contract with Iraqi team due to suspension of his salary and other administrative issues.
The IFF has contacted Zico's secretary and asked him to remove all the obstacles which impeded the works of the Brazilian coach, said Massoud.
He continued "Zico will continue with Iraqi team until 2014," adding the coach will resume the exercises of the team in Baghdad next week.
Earlier IFF member Nawzad Qader had said the coach has received his entire salary until July and there are no financial issues between Zico and IFF.
