BAGHDAD, June 30 (AKnews) - The Iraqi Olympic team will face Oman this evening within the fourth round of the Asian finals for under 22 Olympic teams.

Olympic OmanMedia coordinator for the Iraqi team Thaer al-Mussawi told AKnews: "The Iraq national team tops its group with nine points from three matches, compared to seven points for the UAE, six for Oman and four for India, while Lebanon and Turkmenistan have no points."

Mussawi said citing Iraqi team coach Hakim Shaker: "The Iraqi team will show its best in Oman today to satisfy the public, and we are here to win the first place in the first group."

Shaker considered the match against Oman as very important, adding that his team showed good performance on Thursday night against Lebanon.

He said: "The Iraqi football team is the strongest in the Asian continent on the teams level but the circumstances Iraq has passed through have prevented it from winning international titles."

The Iraqi team includes Saqr Ujail, Ali Adnan, Ali Mohammed Alallah, Mustafa Nazim, Mohammed Jabbar Rabat, Mahdi Kamel, Saif Salman, Ahmed Abbas, Mohammed Shukan, Muhannad Abdul-Rahim and Ammar Abdul-Hussein.
