Iraqi Parliament to vote on electoral commission and federal court draft laws

ERBIL, September 1 (AKnews) – Iraq’s Parliament is set to vote on
the High Electoral Commission and federal court draft laws in its 19th
session on Monday, said an Iraqi MP from the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition.

Rasul Khoshnaw said: "Parliament's agenda for Monday’s session includes
11 draft laws. Parliament is set to vote on seven of them and will
proceed with the other four."
Khoshnaw added that the federal
court draft law will be voted on first. Then members will vote on third
modification of the district, town and provincial council elections and
the ideal agriculture village draft law.
In the session,
parliament will also vote on draft laws such as the supreme justiciary
council and increasing the number of commission members.
Iraq’s
Parliament yesterday proceeded with the first and second readings for
six draft laws. The session was held in attendance of 178 members and
headed by the first deputy parliament speaker Qusay Suhel.
