Barzani visits Talabani in Germany
10/08/2012 13:38ERBIL, Aug.10 (AKnews)- Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani visited Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in Germany Thursday evening, the website of Talabani's Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) reported today.
PUK media said in this visit Barzani was accompanied by Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) politburo member Azad Barwari and Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) representative in Germany Dilsahd Barzani.
The source said the KRG PM expressed his happiness over the successful surgery on Talabani's left knee and hoped the president's physical exercises end soon so that he can return home and settle the crisis in the country.
Barzani described Talabani's presence "crucial" for solving the political crisis.
Talabani thanked Barzani for the visit and his "brotherly" sympathy and assured him about his health.
The officials also discussed the recent political developments in Iraq and Kurdistan as well as the solutions.
Talabani underlined the necessity to maintain unity in all positions and stressed the consolidation of relations between PUK and KDP of Kurdistan's President Massoud Barzani is beneficial to all parties.
