Faraj Haidari and Sardar Abdul Karim will not candidate themselves again for new commission

ERBIL, August 5 (AKnews) – So far 60 people have requested membership for the new electoral commission and 10 of them are Kurds.
Head of the commission Faraj Haidari and member Sardar Abdul Karim will not candidate themselves again for the membership.

Blocs Coalition's spokesperson Muayad Taib said today that the
parliamentary experts committee would introduce 15 new names for the
membership of the new committee. If the chairs of the commission
increased to 15, then Kurds will receive three chairs.
Member
of the commissioners board of the electoral commission Sardar Abdul
Karim said that he will not candidate himself again and will let other
colleagues participate.
Gorran Movement representative
Azad Chalak said: "If the commission’s seats are increased to 15, then
the opposition will get one but we haven’t selected any members yet."
Iraq’s parliament is expected to vote on amending Iraq’s High Electoral Commission on Monday.
