Call on Barzani to unite Kurdish parties of Turkey
13/07/2012 10:26ERBIL, July 13 (AKnews)- An NGO demanded the Kurdistan Region's President Massoud Barzani to gather all the Kurdish parties of Turkey in Erbil for talks over unification, according to Rudaw.
Muhittin Batmal, head of Tigris-Euphrates Dialogue Group, commended Barzani's efforts in uniting Kurdish parties of Syria.
Batmal said "the parties of the Western Kurdistan [Syria] have been repeatedly invited to Erbil by President Barzani who demanded them reconcile and unite their positions."
"We support these efforts… and demand Kurdistan's president to invite parties of Northern Kurdistan [Turkey] to Erbil and try to…. unite their positions, too."
On Wednesday under Barzani's supervision the Kurdish National Council of Syria and the National Council of Western Kurdistan signed a deal in Salahaddin, Erbil.
The deal united the two fronts and demanded them stop media war against each other.
It also urged the parties to form a joint committee called Kurdish Senior Board which is supposed to draw the general policy for leading the Kurds in the current decisive political situation in Syria.
The committee is supposed to be created in two weeks.
