Court orders arrest of Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party officials in Turkey
29/05/2012 14:59ERBIL, May 29 (AKnews) - A Turkish court has ordered the arrest of local officials of the Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) on charges of affiliation to and working with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Turkish news website Heberciniz reported that the court has ordered the arrest of head of the BDP office in Matin Gunulsan province, Bazarjik and Bistan district along with party members.
The BDP is one of the largest Kurdish parties in Turkey and has been exposed to continued arrests by Turkish authorities on charges of working with the PKK.
