Political rifts do not affect poll time: Iraq

Baghdad, Feb.8 (AKnews).The Independent electoral commission denied on Monday that there is no intention to postpone the elections due to the excluded candidates' crises from the next elections.
" any talk about postponing next elections can not be applied " the chief of the Top Independent electoral commission , Faraj Haidari , told the Independent National News Agency of Kurdistan (AKnews).
Haidari denied that "one of the commission members might noted the possibility of postponing in any press statement due to the excluded candidates rises ".
Haidari added that " the commission work is far from the current crises and that politicians in the parliament council are about to resolve it and that will not effect the date or the functioning on election process in Iraq ".
Serdar Abd-al Kareem, member in the commission council stressed in a press statement earlier that "the commission is still waiting for the Federal Court's decision if the excluded will participate or not " noting that postponing the elections is not ruled out if they didn’t agree on a decision two days before starting propagandas ".
