Baghdad checkpoint attacks left behind 20 causalities
17/08/2012 09:39BAGHDAD, Aug.17 (AKnews)- Eight policemen were killed and 12 more wounded in two armed attack on a checkpoint northern Baghdad, a police officer said.
The attacks on the police checkpoint in the mainly Sunni Mashada neighborhood at dawn were carried out with a slight difference in timing, said the officer who demanded anonymity.
Yesterday also in Baghdad two soldiers were killed and four more wounded in the explosion of a roadside bomb in Abu-Ghrayb district, to the west of Baghdad.
Also yesterday evening tens were killed and wounded in the explosion of a car bomb in the Shiite Husseiniya neighborhood of Baghdad apart from tens of causalities s a result of explosions in the disputed Kirkuk, Salahaddin, Diyala and Nineveh provinces.
