ERBIL, August 15 (AKnews) – Another earthquake measuring 5.3 on
the Richter scale hit east Iran, said the country's seismology center.
The quake struck at night time in Warzaqazan city in the province of eastern Azerbaijan east of Iran, reported ISNA news agency.
There are no reports of casualties or damage yet.
Two
earthquakes measuring 6.0 and 6.2 on the Richter scale hit eastern
Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Zanjan and Gailan provinces on Saturday.
So
far 306 civilians have been killed and 2,500 more injured following a
number of earthquakes in eastern Azerbaijan on Saturday night.
The earthquakes destroyed 110 villages in the cities of Ahar, Warzaqan and Haris.
Fifty types of earthquakes ranging from 2.5 to 4.7 on the Richter scale hit the areas above.
