Ministry investigates detainee's "sudden death"
10/08/2012 12:40ERBIL, Aug.10 (AKnews)- The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has formed a committee to investigate the cause of the sudden death of a detainee in Suli's Criminal Rehabilitation Center.
The committee tasked with investigating the "sudden death" of Hadi Jalal,28, is led by the general director of rehab centers, said Abbas Akram, ministry's press secretary.
Akram added the initial reports are that the late detainee was diabetic and just before his death he was admitted in hospital five times due to his deteriorating health.
The committee will conduct its investigation independently from police and will inform the late detainee's family about the cause of the death.
