House of Representatives ringed with concrete blocks once more22/06/2012 11:49
BAGHDAD, June 22 (AKnews)- Concrete blocks for the protection of the House of Representatives are being restored, one week after they were removed by Baghdad Operations Command.
Many MPs objected to the step by Baghdad Command and regarded it a political move. The House of Representatives warned on Wednesday if the blocks are not returned within 48 hours, the employees at the House will go on strike.
Follwoing the demand by the House, yesterday evening the related bodies began restoring the concrete blocks, said MP Hassan Jihad, a member of the security and defense committee.
"The crisis is over," Jihad said "all the blocks will be completely restored today."
