Kurdish security official in Kirkuk survives bombing

KIRKUK, June 16 (AKnews) –The Kirkuk-chief of the Asayish (Kurdish security organization) forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) survived a roadside bombing in central Kirkuk today morning.

Halo Najat was heading to College of Law and Politics where he is a student, when his convoy hit two roadside bombs, said Farhad Hama-Ali, press secretary of KDP's Asayish forces in Kirkuk.

Hama-Ali said Najat survived the bombing but two of his companions, a lieutenant and a major, were wounded.
