Three policemen killed in twin Mosul attacks
02/04/2012 15:05NINEVEH, April 2 (AKnews) - Three policemen were killed in two separate incidents in Mosul today, said Nineveh police.
Mohammad al-Jubouri said unidentified gunmen opened fire on a policeman near Yarmouk district in Mosul, killing him instantly.
In the second incident, unknown gunmen opened fire on two policemen near Al-Islah district, west Mosul. Both victims died at the scene, al-Jubouri said.
Both groups of gunmen fled after the attacks.
Al-Jubouri gave no further details about the incidents, stating only that the bodies were transported to forensics and police shut down the roads leading to the location of the attacks.
