Iraqi-French agreement to exchange experiences between universities
20/02/2012 13:30BAGHDAD, Feb. 20 (AKnews) - Baghdad province plans to reach an agreement with the French government to link universities in the two countries in a bid to enhance Iraq's educational capabilities.
Deputy governor of Baghdad Mohammed al-Shummari said: "The province is working to provide support to universities and institutes of education in the capital Baghdad. We agreed with the French government to develop the educational capacity of universities and will next week sign an agreement in this regard."
Shummari added that both parties will finalize the plans within the next month and announcement the full details of the partnership in due course.
It is well-known that Iraqi citizens complain about the outdated curriculum still covered in universities and schools.
