Committee to systematize application of foreign workers to Kurdistan
03/08/2012 10:40ERBIL, Aug. 3 (AKnews)- A high committee will be formed to lay down the mechanism for foreign workers to apply for work in the Kurdistan Region.
The committee will help to secure the rights of the foreign workers and to prevent the unemployment rate from rising in Kurdistan, said Abbas Akram, press secretary for Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
Akram added the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and Ministry of Interior will form the committee which will be supervised by both ministries.
The committee will also include representatives of Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Kurdistan Workers Syndicate.
Akram explained so far the foreign workers have been employed without any mechanism or law to systematize their recruitment.
