Disabled people can complete employment forms today

ERBIL, July 15 (AKnews) – Disabled people in the Kurdistan Region can go
today to job centres to complete employment forms, said the media
secretary for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
Disabled people have a five percent share of the job vacancies in the Kurdistan Region this year, said Abas Akram.
He added: "This is the first time in the Kurdistan Region that disabled people have had five percent of the share of jobs.
“After
filling the job forms, they fill another form especially designed for
them to take into consideration their needs and demands."
According
to article 10 of the rights of disabled and those with special needs,
workers within this category must receive five percent of the share of
jobs.
The Kurdistan Regional Government decided to employ 17,000 people in ministries and directorates in the region.
