Kurdistan Region to sign trade memorandum with South Korea
08/07/2012 13:48ERBIL, July 5 (AKnews) – A Kurdish trade delegation in South Korea is expected to sign a trade memorandum with the country tomorrow, said the head of the Imports and Exports Union in the Kurdistan Region.
Mustafa Abdul Rahman said the delegation traveled via Suli airport to the South Korean capital Seoul.
Abdul Rahman said the delegation consists of eleven traders who received an invitation from South Korean exports to attend a number of trade meetings between the Kurdistan Region and the country’s traders and merchants.
The trade memorandum is expected to be signed tomorrow in attendance of South Korean General Counsul to the region, both heads of the two countries’ union, confirmed Abdul Rahman.
Abdul Rahman added that the purpose of the visit is to improve relations between the two countries and create a better atmosphere for companies to invest in the region.
The official said: "South Korea has many major companies with good quality and convenient prices."
