05/07/2012 09:14SULI, July 5 (AKnews)- Delegations from Kurdistan Union of Importers and Exporters will visit South Korea and Italy soon, union chairman said.
A delegation will leave for Seoul on Saturday at an official visit called by South Korea, said Mustafa Abdul-Rahman.
Abdul-Rahman said the union delegation will hold meetings with trade officials as well as businessmen in the country.
The delegation is also expected to sign an agreement to raise the level of trade between the two sides and to pave the way for Kurdistan businessmen to augment relations with their counterparts in South Korea.
"South Korea is a big industrial and trade country … Its products are excellent and their prices are fine; therefore, we are willing to deal with South Korean companies in various fields," Abdul-Rahman added.
Another delegation from Kurdistan Union of Importers and Exporters will leave for Italy on Tuesday in order to attend an international trade fair in Milan.
Abdul-Rahman said the goal is to buttress ties with the Italian companies "as the country is rich in high quality products."
The official said the union insists on sending delegations to European countries, Japan and South Korea in order to boost economic ties with "developed and industrial countries."
