ERBIL, June 21 (AKnews) - Emirates is to launch news flights from its Dubai hub to Erbil from August 12.
The new service will be operated initially four times a week and will then increasing to a daily service from September 1, reported AMEinfo.com.
Emirates chairman and chief executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum said in a statement that the airbus 340-300 will be used for the route. The service will offer 267 seats and 13 tonnes of cargo capacity.
He added that the launch of the Erbil route will be the carrier's third in Iraq within 18 months after Baghdad and Basra.
Emirates has been offering a well-utilized cargo service to Erbil since February 2011, said al-Maktoum.
