ERBIL, June 21 (AKnews) - Members of the Kurdistan Region's parliament have been debating the region's 2012 budget for nine days now and will probably need 10 more days to finalize the process.

MP Bashir Haddad said MPs have been discussing reports from both the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the parliamentary economic committee over the last nine days and many suggestions have been added to the budget bill.

Haddad added: "Both reports have been read and the ministers of finance and planning answered the comments and suggestions but parliament needs more time to approve the 2012 budget."

The ministries of education, health, interior, finance and electricity will all have big stakes in the 2012 budget, said Haddad.
